Upcoming Dates of Importance:
Picture Day is September 24th Field Trip to The Grove is October 2nd-more information coming soon... Classroom News: We've been working hard in room 183. In social studies we've been studying Native Americans and their cultural backgrounds, living environments and how they adapted to their environments. Students are excited to apply their knowledge as well as learn new things about Native Americans that once lived locally when we visit The Grove in October. We've also been studying a variety of genres in reading and have been talking about text details, inferring and theme during literacy time. During grammar time we've been working on analyzing and composing complete sentences with subject and predicate, and also proofreading passages in preparation for our next writing unit. It's been a really busy start to the year but we are excited to get to know each other a bit more and get used to the routines of fourth grade!

AuthorI graduated from Western Illinois University with a Bachelor of Arts degree (Business/Social Studies), as well as a Master of Science Degree in Recreation, Parks, and Tourism Administration. Knowing in my heart that teaching was my passion, I went back to attend National Louis University and received my Master of Arts in teaching degree. This is my tenth year at Windsor Elementary, and my eleventh year teaching. In my spare time, I like to spend time with my family and friends, and of course, watch Chicago sports! Go Bears! Archives
